House of Sagacious welcomes you
. The following are guidelines for our recruiting process and what
is expected of recruits and HoS members. All potential recruits MUST register on our boards and post an
introductory "Request to join" post in our recruiting forum. This post doesn't have to be overly long, but it must
include the following information:
- Acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to fully abide by the HoS Code of Conduct.
- How you heard about HoS, why you are interested in joining us, and why you think you should be accepted.
- A short history or listing of all previous online gaming experience (emphasis on PvP is preferred), including
previous guilds that you still are or were part of.
- In game name(s) if different than your board name, your time zone and normal hours of playtime.
- The name of the member who would be sponsoring you (if known) and any relationship if F+F.
Any posts that do not contain the above information will be locked, and the application denied.
As a recruit, you are expected to get involved with the guild as much as possible, e.g. relocate to our base of
operations, actively PvP with HoS members, participate on our message boards, etc.
Recruits inactive for over 30 days on the boards without explanation will have any private forum access revoked and
will not be considered an active recruit. Any recruit that has been accepted into the guild and does not request
full private access within 2 days of acceptance will be dropped.
We do not allow members to be part of multiple guilds on any server we play on. All characters are HoS, or none
are HoS.
We are officially active in :
World of Warcraft - Illidan server, Alliance
House of Sagacious accepts new recruits on an invite only basis. This does not prevent someone from requesting
to join, but simply doing so does not guarantee acceptance. HoS leadership will always have final say over the status and joining of new members,
and whether or not the recruiting process has been completed.
HoS Recruitment policy requires a full member actively playing to agree to sponsor a proposed recruit. This means
that the sponsoring member must state why they feel the proposed recruit would be a good fit for the guild, and give
brief examples of what the recruit has done to earn their place in the member's eyes. Full members are those in
good standing, who have been members of the guild for at least 6 months not including probationary periods.
All new recruits, including real life friends and family (F+F), go through a 6 month probationary period once their
application is accepted. Each recruit has a mentor who sponsors them and is responsible for the recruit's actions
and making sure they understand and follow all applicable guild rules. This mentor is generally the person who has
introduced the recruit to the guild in the first place.
During this 6 month probationary period, the recruit needs to earn 10 vouches from full members. During this time
they are not eligible to sponsor new recruits and they cannot vote on official guild issues. If at the end of the 6
months, they do not have the appropriate vouches, their probation will either be extended or they will be removed,
depending on the decision of Leadership. In addition, any valid negative vouch(es) will disqualify the recruit from
joining, unless the negative issues are cleared up to the satisfaction of Leadership.
Any actions by a recruit or a new probationary member that break the CoC or any behavior contrary to what HoS stands
for will result in denial of the recruiting application and/or expulsion from the guild. The guild standing of the
sponsoring member can also be put into jeopardy as well.
Anyone found circumventing the recruiting process will be warned once only. Further breaking of the rules will
result in permanent removal from the clan for all parties involved. Any questions, please post on the recruitment
board and a Leader will answer as soon as possible.
Thank you for your interest in joining House of Sagacious!
